You’ve put time, effort, and love into creating your quilt top—now let me help you transform it into a finished quilt that’s both beautiful and functional. Long-arm quilting is the final step that brings your quilt to life, adding texture, depth, and artistry through precise stitching that holds all the layers together.

At Stitches N Ditches, We use the long-arm quilting machine to carefully stitch intricate designs across your quilt top, enhancing its beauty while ensuring its durability. Whether you choose an edge-to-edge pattern for a classic look or a more custom design to reflect your unique vision, our goal is to give your quilt the perfect finishing touch.

Our Long-Arm Quilting Process

  1. Consultation: We’ll discuss your vision, quilt size, and preferred quilting design (edge-to-edge or custom). I’ll help you choose a pattern and thread color to complement your quilt top. If you’re unsure what you’d like, we’d be happy to select the perfect design for you.

  2. Preparation: We'll prep your quilt top and backing for quilting. If you need backing fabric, we can supply it for an additional cost, or we can stitch together your provided backing fabric if it hasn’t been done already.

  3. Quilting: Using my long-arm machine, I’ll carefully quilt your chosen design, adding texture and strength to your quilt.

  4. Finishing Touches: After quilting, we offer machine binding services to complete your quilt, or you can choose to bind it yourself.

Long-Arm Quilting Costs

  • Edge-to-Edge Quilting: Starting at $0.03 per square inch (a continuous design across the quilt).

  • Custom Quilting: Pricing based on the complexity of the design (discussed during consultation).

For an estimate, multiply the length and width of your quilt in inches, then multiply by the cost per square inch.

Example: A 60” x 80” quilt = 4,800 square inches. At $0.03 per square inch, quilting costs $144.

Additional Services

  • Batting Options: Choose from cotton, wool, or a poly/cotton blend. If you prefer, you can provide your own batting.

  • Backing Fabric: Available for purchase if you don’t have your own. (If you provide backing, it must be 6 inches larger than your quilt top on all sides.)

  • Machine Binding: Add a clean, durable edge to your quilt with my machine binding service.

  • Trimming: We offer trimming to square up your quilt before returning it to you, making it ready for binding.

Long-arm quilting isn’t just about securing the layers—it's about adding character. The quilt top you’ve pieced together so carefully becomes a textured work of art, ready to be treasured for years to come.

Let’s bring your quilt top to life with the artistry and care it deserves!

Let’s make something awesome together!
